FIA's journey since 1970 has been eventful. The Indian-American community has added iconic events to its calendar each year. Presently, FIA hosts an extensive array of highly anticipated events on an annual basis, such as the India Day Parade, Dance Pe Chance, International Women's Day, Gujarat Maharashtra Day, the Annual Reception Gala, Empire State Building Lighting, and Indian Flag Hoisting at Times Square.
Our Grand Marshals are the heart and soul of our parade.
From business tycoons and renowned artists to dedicated community activists and philanthropic visionaries, our Grand Marshals represent the diversity and excellence of the Indian-American community. Past Grand Marshals include some of the most prominent figures in Indian entertainment, including Amitabh Bachchan, A.R. Rahman, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, and Shilpa Shetty who embody the spirit of India and have achieved remarkable success in their respective fields.
