FIA, along with the Indian Consulate, awarded next-generation trailblazers and changemakers to empower women so they can uplift themselves, their families, and their communities. The presence of every attendee celebrates the achievements of not only the recipients, but all the women present at the event. The event encouraged all the other women in the community to contribute their share to society’s well-being. International Women’s Day started out as Working Women's Day in 1909, and it was only in 1975 that the UN declared the day International Women’s Day, which is celebrated on March 8 every year.
