Indian American Community Leader and former Vice President of Federation of Indian Associations, Jaswant “Jay” Bhailal Mody, will be honored on Sunday, May 15, with a new cricket pitch at Quibbletown Park in Piscataway being named after him. He was a resident of Piscataway for almost five decades.

Mr. Jay Mody who passed away last year at the age of 83, was a much-loved township citizen and was known for his dedicated and selfless service to the community. He was a committeeman for over 20 years with the Piscataway Democratic Organization and served on the Piscataway Township Zoning Board. In recognition of his service, he was given the Lifetime Service Award by the Association of Indians in America.
