FIA President and Chairman attend the 3-day Gujarat Global Conclave at Ahmedabad in India, showcase its achievements to global Gujaratis
The Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) President Kenny Desai and Chairman Ankur Vaidya, on invitation, attended the three-day Gujarat Global Conclave — Pravasi Gujarati Parv – the first ever global gathering of Gujaratis from more than 20 countries, including India. The Union Home Minister of India Amit Shah inaugurated the multi-day mega event on October 15 in Ahmedabad.
The event was jointly organised by the Government of India and Gujarat in association with Tv9, AIANA (Association of Indian Americans in North America). The one of its kind and maiden global Gujaratis conclave held in the UNESCO listed Heritage City of Ahmedabad — from October 15 to 17, 2022 — was sponsored by the Indian business conglomerate Adani Group.
The multi-day Pravasi Gujarati Parv saw over 200 prominent leaders and business tycoonsfrom across the world and featured more than 30 mega conclaves and conferences covering a clutch of business domains and verticals.
The FIA President Kenny Desai was a keynote speaker at one of the conclaves on Gujarat Capital and Wealth. Highlighting the achievements of FIA, he said that right from rising up to the call of India Prime Minister Narendra Modi to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, achieving the two Guinness World Records, flying the largest (220 ft) Khadi Tiranga (Indian tri-color) over Hudson River in the US to having the largest India Day Parade outside India – FIA has showcased our motherland and its rich cultural heritage to the world.
