FIA held a Shradhanjali honoring the memory of Late. Sh. Yash Paul Soi – Past President, Vice Chairman Emeritus and one of the founding members of FIA – on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Royal Albert Palace, New Jersey.

People turned out to pay respects to the departed soul. FIA president, Mr. Kenny Desai, paid tribute and said that Mr. Soi, a friend, a selfless and devoted worker, has left a huge void which will be difficult to fill. He also mentioned that the late Mr. Soi was very happy with the way FIA had progressed and that his departure had been a great loss to the community.

Mr. Ankur Vaidya- Chairman of FIA, paid heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and said that he has the highest regard for his dedicated services, spoke about his enthusiastic approach towards work and fondly remembered his last meeting with him.

Padma Shri Mr. H.R. Shah said that his association with Mr. Soi was over 50 years old and it was indeed a sad day to pass by when he is no longer with us.

Mr. Chandrakant Trivedi of FIA said it’s hard to believe that Mr. Soi is no longer with us and sang a few lines from a famous Mohammad Rafi song, “Jeena Teri Gali Mein.” Amongst those who paid tributes were Mr. Anurag Kumar of BAJANA, Mr. Nitin Vyas of the World Vegan Association, Mr. Sunil Hali of Divya Bhaskar, Chavi Dharayan – Ex Vice President FIA, Seema Jagtiani, Priti Patel of the Indo American Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Peter Kothari and Mr. Rajan Chugh.

Present, amongst others, were Mr. Srujal Parikh-Board of Trustee FIA, Mr. Alok Kumar-Ex President FIA, Mr. Himanshu- Vice President FIA, Mr. Parveen Bansal, Sec FIA, and other prominent members of the community.

Mr. Umesh Patel sang soulful bhajans during the event. Ms Sapna Patel was the officiant who carried her responsibilities with and poise.

It was an afternoon of shared fond memories, honoring the life and remembrance of the excellent community work done over the years by Late Sh. Yash Paul Soi
