Federation of Indian Associations fraternity and metropolitan New York, New Jersey Indian American community is terribly shocked by sudden untimely passing away of a very dynamic, dedicated and decent Community Leader and a longtime associate as chairperson of various committee Abhay Shukla at the young age of 64 on Sunday February 6-2022. He served FIA for over 25 years and contributed gallantly in the growth and success of FIA.
At the time of his death, he was the sitting President of Brahmin Samaj of the USA, a very adorable, active and outstanding association member of FIA. His bravery, honesty, and willingness to work on any community project had earned him a lot of respect and admiration.
As a resident of Jersey City, New Jersey, he contributed immensely to its various activities, helping Govinda Temple, Navratri, Senior Associations, and so forth. He was a great singer with his melodious voice.
He also helped Shree Vidya Foundation Trust, Morari Bapu’s Katha, and other religious activities. Social media was flooded with tributes from his coworkers, friends, and fans.His funeral services were held at Jorge Rivera Funeral Home in North Bergen, New Jersey on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. It was attended in large numbers by his family members, relatives, co-workers, and friends.
Originally from Bombay, he migrated to the USA in 1980. He is survived by his mother, Bharti Ben, wife Megha, two sons, Vinay and Harshal, sister Alka, daughter-in-law Jahnvi, brother Keyur, and a vast number of relatives and friends. He will be missed by FIA, BSOU, and other organizations.
We pray to Almighty God to rest his divine soul in peace and give strength to his family members to withstand this huge loss.
